Waiting is something that most horses are very good at. But most horses are not like me. They don’t have Blogs to write, and they don’t have super exciting news to share with their friends on the Internets. I have something exciting to share, but Mom told me I had to wait until Monday to write about it. Monday started many, many hours ago, but Mom didn’t even come out to give us our Breakfast hays until 8:30am. I had to make a very loud nicker-noise when I saw her come out of her little house to remind her that I have news to share and that I have been waiting a long time to share it!
My good friend is a very famous artist named Maeve Harris and she came out to visit me this weekend so that we could do a thing called Collaboration, do you know that thing? Collaboration is when more than one horse or people works together to make a thing that normally could be done by just one of them, but because there are two of them working on it, it becomes something different and more special. Maeve Harris and I are both famous painters, so we decided to do Collaboration and make a picture to trade for dollars at Heart of the Horse! Mom took these pictures of Collaboration happening so you can see me and Maeve Harris working together and having so much fun making our picture.
- Getting started
- My paintbrush
- Talking over our ideas
- Encouragement from Maeve
- Looking over what we’ve done so far
- Waiting for the next color
- Finishing touches
- I think it’s done!
- Maeve laughs at my colorful nose
- Signing my painting
- The artists together
- Me and Maeve and Max
If you want to see our Painting and possibly trade dollars for it, you must come to Heart of the Horse. There will be many many wonderful things to trade dollars for at Heart of the Horse, like a signed copy of Poem Book that I wrote, and a very big and beautiful Painting by Maeve Harris all by herself. All of these wonderful things will be traded for dollars to help the SAFE horses, and that is a very good thing. Click on these words to go to learn all about Heart of the Horse and buy Ticket before there are no more Tickets left!
I love Maeve Harris very much and I am honored that she did Collaboration with me. I will never forget this wonderful day. Also it made Mom so happy that she gives me extra hugs and extra bites of tasty, tasty grain to say thank you.
(I also did a second Collaboration with Maeve Harris’ little colt who is named Max, but the painting that Max and I did together will be displayed in Private Collection of Max. Max is also a very fine painter who will maybe someday be famous painter like his mom.)
