Wet.
Today is an awful wet and rainy day. Pretty soon my little house is going to float away and then my friends and I will live somewhere different from where we are now.
The thing that I said just now is a Joke, do you know that thing? Joke is when you say something to make there be laughing. Horses have many Jokes about raining because when it is raining, all you can do is stand inside your little house and think of Jokes. Sometimes Joke means saying a thing that is not true, like barns floating away because of there is so much rain. Other times Joke means saying something that is very true that someone might not have thought of.
Mom made Joke today about her fish pond, which is becoming very filled with water because of all the rains. She said she is worried that stupid Fish might try to swim out of their pond and swim across the lawn because there is so much water everywhere. This is an example of making Joke about something that you’re actually kind of worried about. Mom looked out to check on Fish and thought she saw one being out of the pond, but it turns out that it was just a leaf that she saw, so Joke was on her. But then she told her friends that she saw something orange on the lawn and thought it was a fish but it turned out it was just Honeycutt.
I have to admit that was a pretty good Joke.
