Here's Jay

Mom is unhappy because yesterday I pinned my ears at Jay and made him go away. In the Before, it was always Jay who made me move my feet, so for me to make him move his feet is Different. Jay is getting older, and he may not always be the boss of everyone like he was in the Before. I can’t tell Mom if I am going to be the boss of Jay now, because I don’t know yet. The Big Baby is already the boss of Jay, but I’m the boss of the Big Baby, so if I end up being the boss of Jay, I will be the boss of everyone. That is a lot of responsibility. Am I ready for that? I do not know.

Jay is the oldest which means he is this many years: 20. That is not so many years for some horses, but Jay is a black horse who is slowly turning white! He still likes to run and play just as much as the Big Baby, so I am thinking maybe he is not so old after all.

But old horses need to know that where they are is where they will stay, and that you will not get tired of them and send them away! Many SAFE horses were old horses that were sent away, and that is not a very nice thing. If you have an old horse, please give that horse a place to live that is forever because it is very hard to be an old horse who is sent away from his home.
